There are two parts to the in depth analysis:
Hard Facts
The hard facts are the detailed facts about your existing arrangements.
Soft Facts
The soft facts are your feelings, thoughts and wishes regarding your financial affairs. In many ways they are much more important that the hard facts. When would you like to retire, pay off your mortgage, go on that cruise, pay for the grandchildren's university education etc They may be your opinions and wishes but they are yours and that's a fact! This is what may take time because most people haven't looked at their financial affairs from this perspective.
